Mbappé set for ‘Beautiful’ Bernabéu debut
Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has expressed his excitement ahead of Kylian Mbappé’s home debut for the Spanish giants at the Santiago Bernabéu.
The French striker is expected to take the field on Sunday in La Liga against Real Valladolid.
Speaking to reporters on Friday, Ancelotti described the occasion as a “beautiful day” for Mbappé, who joined Madrid this summer after years of speculation linking him with the club.
The move from Paris Saint-Germain fulfilled a long-held dream for the French star.
Los Blancos fans are eager to see Mbappé in action after he scored on his debut for the club in Warsaw against Atalanta during the UEFA Super Cup.
However, he was unable to find the net in the 1-1 league draw with Mallorca.
“I think it will be a beautiful day for Mbappé, to play at the Bernabéu for the first time in a Real Madrid shirt,” Ancelotti said.

“The fans are very excited about him, and he will have a great game, because of the quality he has — the fans will enjoy themselves.”
Ancelotti acknowledged that his team has struggled with balance in their first two matches of the season, despite the firepower of Mbappé, Vinícius Júnior, Rodrygo Goes, and Jude Bellingham in attack. Bellingham, however, suffered a knock in training and is being evaluated by medical staff ahead of the Valladolid clash.
“We have prepared well for the game on Sunday… we know very well what happened against Mallorca and we have tried to fix it for this weekend,” Ancelotti explained.
He added that facing Valladolid would be a good test, emphasizing the importance of working on the team’s balance.
With Real Madrid having won a Champions League and La Liga double last season, and with the addition of Mbappé, the team is once again considered a strong contender for the Spanish title this season.
