NBA’s annual general conference kicks off in Lagos
The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) commenced its 2024 Annual General Conference on Friday, August 23, with a series of activities aimed at setting the stage for a memorable event. Over 16,000 legal practitioners are expected to attend the conference, which will run until August 28.
The conference began with the opening of delegate registration and a thanksgiving Jumat service at the Central Mosque on Lagos Island. On Saturday, August 24, a health walk was held at 7 AM, followed by a pre-conference NEC meeting at the Nigeria Law School. The day’s events will culminate in a welcome cocktail party hosted by the Chief Judge of Lagos, Justice Kazeem Alogba.
Themed “Pressing Forward; A National Posture for Rebuilding Nigeria,” the conference sessions will be held at Eko Hotel & Suites and Tafawa Balewa Square, both located on Lagos Island. Oyinkan Badejo-Okusanya, Chairman of the Annual General Conference Planning Committee, described the 2024 NBA-AGC as “A Conference Like No Other.”
