Nigerian youths remain Tinubu’s priority – VP Shettima
Vice President Kashim Shettima has reaffirmed President Bola Tinubu’s dedication to empowering Nigerian youths, highlighting recent initiatives and policies aimed at enhancing their opportunities.
Speaking on Friday during a visit from the All Progressives Congress (APC) youth wing at the Presidential Villa, Shettima underscored the administration’s focus on youth development.
“Shedding light on President Tinubu’s priorities, Shettima stated, ‘The youths are the lifeblood of any nation and Mr. President acknowledges this fact.’
He cited various programmes like the Youth Investment Fund, iDICE Programme, and the National Youth Development Bank as evidence of the administration’s commitment.

Shettima expressed confidence in the government’s ability to address youth concerns and called for patience as the administration’s plans begin to take effect.
He praised the APC youth leadership for their dedication and assured them that their requests would be addressed.
APC National Youth Leader Dayo Israel, in response, thanked Shettima for his commitment and shared the APC Youth Wing’s strategic plan, which includes initiatives like the Enterprise-Skills Development Training (EDET) Programme and the Progressive Youth Leadership Summit.
Israel also invited Shettima to the upcoming Progressive Youth Leadership Summit, which will focus on addressing youth restiveness, inclusion, and development.
The meeting was attended by key APC youth leaders across various regions, reflecting the party’s emphasis on engaging and supporting young Nigerians.
