PMAN suspends Pretty Okafor indefinitely over alleged financial misconduct
The Performing Musicians Employers Association of Nigeria (PMAN) has announced the indefinite suspension of Pretty Okafor from his position as President of the association. This decision was taken by the National Working Committee (NWC) of PMAN and is effective immediately.
In a statement released on Friday, PMAN detailed the reasons behind the suspension, which include accusations of unconstitutional actions, financial misconduct, and a violation of constitutional duties. The NWC stated that a comprehensive investigation was conducted into Mr. Okafor’s activities, which revealed gross violations of PMAN’s Constitution and financial regulations.

As a result of the suspension, Sunny Neji, who has been serving as the 1st Vice President, will assume the role of Acting President of PMAN. This transition is in accordance with the PMAN Constitution, which outlines the procedure for leadership changes in such circumstances.
