Police arrest woman for concealing 124 rounds of ammunition in palm oil
The Nasarawa State Police Command apprehended Hauwa Sani for concealing 124 rounds of anti-aircraft ammunition inside a gallon of palm oil, on Friday.
The arrest was made by police operatives attached to the Keffi Division, based on credible information, on Friday.
According to the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Ramhan Nansel, who shared the news on X.com, the suspect was also found in possession of a cash sum of ₦78,500 and a Tecno mobile phone. She was reportedly attempting to smuggle the ammunition to Katsina State.

Hauwa Sani, who was traveling with a 2-year-old child, was intercepted in Keffi. Preliminary investigations revealed that she had received the ammunition supply at Rafin Sanyi village in Doma Local Government Area of Nasarawa State. The ammunition was then concealed in a gallon of palm oil before she began her journey towards Katsina.
The Commissioner of Police, Shehu Nadada, has ordered that the suspect and the evidence be transferred to the Force Intelligence Department at the Force Headquarters in Abuja for further investigation.
