Police derailment in Nigeria, by Audu Bazazzagi
Reports reaching us is another form of harassment by the so-called community leaders through the use of Nigeria police force.
The latest is a case of police invitation and subsequent detention of one Adamu sa’idu of Anguwan liman quarters in zaria city of kaduna state, the reason for the detention is still sketchy but all suspicious fingers are pointing at a certain traditional ruler whom we will unveil at the end of our findings.
It is on record that there were series of security invitations,arrests, purported dismissals and baseless accusations of disrespecting a traditional ruler on our youths especially those identifying themselves with or supporting the families of the lates Emir Shehu Idris and Iya Bashari Aminu of blessed memories.

It’s baffling to note that police as a highly respected and professional institution would allow themselves to be dragged into this kind of brigandism.
We still keep the respects, hope, and dignity of our security agencies, and considering the current social and security unrest in the country, we believe the police would do the needful to avoid further breakdown of order.
The police doesn’t need to be reminded that we are in a democratic atmosphere where everyone is entitled to the right to life, right to personal liberty, and freedom of association.
