Police in Kaduna bust crime syndicate, arrest kidnappers, gun runners
Police have arrested two cattle rustlers, two notorious gunrunners, and three suspected kidnappers in Kaduna State.
The successful raid was made possible through credible intelligence and swift action from the police operatives.
In the first operation, police busted a hideout used by a notorious syndicate involved in cattle rustling in the Kasuwa Magani area of Kujama, Kaduna.
Two suspects, Aminu Saleh and Jafar Ibrahim, were caught and had already confessed to their crimes, revealing that they were part of a larger syndicate with four other members still at large.

In a separate incident, a resident, Shafiu Abdullahi, reported receiving threatening phone calls demanding a ransom of N10 million.
Confirming the arrests, Police Commissioner, Audu Dabigi, said operatives of the command used advanced techniques to track the suspects.
During the operation, three suspects; Umar Baso, Shehu Filani, and Babangida Abdulkarim, were detained where they confessed their involvement in the kidnapping plot.
Furthermore, on Saturday, the police arrested two suspects, Dahiru Liman and Sani Abdullahi Makeri, who were supplying arms and ammunition to kidnappers operating in Kaduna, Katsina, and Zamfara States.
One fabricated AK-47 rifle and five rounds of live ammunition were recovered during the operation. The suspects confessed to their crimes and their long-term involvement in other illegal activities.
Police Commissioner Dabigi commended the operatives for their bravery and urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities.
Dabigi reassured the residents that the command is committed to dismantling criminal networks and ensuring the safety and well-being of all citizens.
