Police in Katsina arrest 64, recover 693 bags of fertilizer from protesters
The Katsina State Police Command reported that its personnel arrested 64 individuals and recovered 693 bags of fertilizer following a violent protest in the state.
The Command’s Police Public Relations Officer, Sadiq Aliyu, stated that no lives were lost during the unrest, though a government fertilizer warehouse was vandalised.
Aliyu added that investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Calm and normalcy have since returned to the state after the acting governor, Faruq Lawal, declared a curfew and banned protests across the state.

Security operatives have been strategically deployed to enforce the curfew.
