Talking on the gesture, Governor Aliyu said, “These items belong to mostly widows and orphans, therefore, they must benefit fully from them.”
The governor also lamented how youths are serving as informants for bandits for peanuts, thus contributing immensely to the surge in criminal activities in Sokoto.
He therefore appealed to both the ulamas and traditional rulers to continue to educate their subjects on the need for them to seek livelihood through legitimate means.
“We are working round the clock to boost the agricultural sector so that all our irrigable lands could be properly put to use.
“We have made adequate provisions to support our farmers through improved seedlings, pesticides, insecticides, herbicides as well as farm implements.
“This is to guarantee sufficient food production in our dear state and country as a whole,” he said.
The governor also commended President Bola Tinubu for his support to the state, especially in the areas of security, agriculture as well as empowerment.

“The protest has always been destructive than constructive, we have seen this in many places where protest had taken place”
“I urge you all to go back to farm since this is rainy season so that you could help the state produce more food,” he appealed.
Senator Wamakko also urged the people to continue to support President Bola Tinubu’s policies and programmes in the interest of the nation.
