Court sets ₦10m bail for #EndBadGovernment protesters
Another hearing in the case of the #EndBadGovernance protesters has taken place, with each protester granted a ₦10 million bail.
It would be recalled that the suspects—Michael Adaramoye, also known as Lenin; Adeyemi Abayomi; Suleiman Yakubu; Opaoluwa Simon; Angel Innocent; Buhari Lawal; Mosiu Sadiq; Bashir Bello; Nuradeen Khamis; and Abdulsalam Zubairu—are accused of treason and inciting mutiny.

This hearing comes after the first, which took place on September 2. Delivering his ruling during the trial, Justice Emeka Nwite of the Federal High Court in Abuja granted each of the defendants bail in the amount of 10 million naira, and also ordered that they each provide one surety.
‘I have carefully considered the submissions of counsel on both sides. I hereby grant the defendants bail notwithstanding the crime. The bail is granted to each defendant in the sum of 10 million naira and one surety in like amount.’
