CCT chairman Mainasara mourns passing of prominent lawyer, Ustaz Usman
The chairman of Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT), Barrister Mainasara Umar Kogo, has expressed deep sadness over the death of legal luminary, Chief Yunus Ustaz Usman ,SAN, a member of the body benches who died on Wednesday 11th September 2024.
In a condolence message made available to Neptune Prime in Abuja, Barrister Kogo described late Chief Umar as a God fearing nationalist and patriot who built bridges of love, goodwill, unity, and tolerance which are necessary ingredients for the perpetuation of a cohesive, strong and stable Nigerian nation.
“With heavy heart and gratitude to the will of Almighty Allah, I hereby announce the death of our brother and greatest mentor Chief Yunus Ustaz Usman.”
Kogo further described the death of the legal icon as a great loss, not only to his family but Nigeria as a whole, and pray the Almighty Allah accept his soul into Jannatul Firdaus and console the community during this difficult time.
Late Ustaz Usman has since been buried in Kaduna on Wednesday according to the Islamic rites.
