Emir of Zazzau leads Maulud procession in Zaria (Pictures)
On September 15, 2024, the Emir of Zazzau, Malam Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, led thousands of Muslim faithful in celebrating the annual Maulud An-Nabiyin in Zaria.
The Emir initiated the vibrant procession on horseback, symbolising the significance of the event, accompanied by members of the Emirate Council, District Heads, and Islamic clerics. During the occasion, the Emir offered prayers for peace, stability, and unity in Nigeria.

Maulud, or Maulud al-Nabi, is an important event in the Islamic calendar, marking the birth of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). It is observed on the 12th day of the Islamic month of Rabi’ al-awwal, with the exact date varying according to the Gregorian calendar.
This year’s celebration in Zaria was a vibrant display of devotion, with the Emir’s leadership reflecting the deep-rooted cultural and religious traditions of the region.
