Former EFCC Chairman, Bawa loses mother
The former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Abdurrasheed Bawa, has lost his mother.
While specific details surrounding her death remain unclear, sources indicate that Hajiya Hadiza Ahmed Bawa passed away in Sokoto on Wednesday night.
Bawa confirmed the sad news to Daily Trust but did no go into details.

“She died in UDUTH Sokoto and will be buried in Jega, Kebbi inshaAllah around 2:30pm,” he said via telephone.
Plans are being made to convey her to remains to Kebbi State, where funeral rites would hold later, on Thursday.
Bawa, the first civilian to head EFCC, was nominated as substantive Chairman of the commission on February 16, 2021, and was subsequently confirmed by the National Assembly.
