Story by Aliyu ASKIRA, Kano

A man, Muhammad Sani Hotoro, has been remanded in prison for allegedly parading himself as a judge in Kano State.

The court was told that Hotoro presented himself as a judge from the Jigawa State Judiciary when he went to a Shari’a court in Kurna to secure the bail of two persons charged with fraud and criminal breach of trust.

His bail request was granted on the condition that his residence be visited, which he promptly rejected.
