“Tinubu is too wealthy to loot Nigeria’s treasury” – Youth Minister

Ayodele Olawande, Minister of State for Youth Development, has described President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as an “epitome of wealth” who has no interest in looting the country’s resources.

According to newsmen, Olawande made this statement during the Joint Union Negotiating Council’s week for the Federal Ministry of Youth Development in Abuja.

The JUNC’s week was themed, “The Working People in a Volatile, Uncertain, and Complex Economy.”

The minister urged Nigerians to be patient with Tinubu’s administration, noting that positive changes are expected in the near future.

“I urge you to be patient with this administration. In the near future, the country will improve, and the lives of its citizens will be transformed.

“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is not a pauper; he is an acknowledged epitome of wealth. Therefore, it cannot be said that he desires to loot Nigeria’s treasury. He has seen wealth and, as a result, is not interested in misappropriating the nation’s resources.

“Leadership is all about being committed to service. Today, you may be a Minister, but tomorrow you will be referred to as a former Minister, just as a Director will eventually be a former Director. There is no permanent position, but the impact you make while in office will speak for you after you leave.

“Tinubu, a two-term governor and Senator during the short-lived Third Republic, has business interests that span tourism, real estate, media, and more.”

At an inter-denominational church service marking the start of her husband’s administration, First Lady Oluremi Tinubu stated that her family does not require Nigeria’s wealth to sustain themselves.

At the event held at the National Christian Centre in Abuja on the eve of her husband’s swearing-in, the three-time Senator stated, “Nigeria’s wealth is the commonwealth of all. It belongs to everyone. God has blessed my family. We don’t need Nigeria’s wealth to survive but to do the right thing. And I promise you on this altar that, with your help and with the help of God, we will set this nation on the right path.”
