NAF airstrikes protect DSS’ assets from vandals, eliminate 30 bandits

The Nigerian military fighter troops on 11th September prevented terrorists in Niger State from vandalising assets of the Department of State Services (DSS).

A credible defence intelligence source disclosed that the troops, with the aid of Super Tucano jets, belonging to the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) also succeeded in killing scores of terrorists who attacked the DSS’ assets.

The intelligence operative who pleaded for anonymity said the incident happened in the Bassa community of Shiroro, a local government area of the state.

According to him, the troops’ successful onslaught against the terrorists followed an intelligence report to the military command about an ambush attack on some DSS personnel and their assets.

“The Super Tucano jets were swiftly deployed for a purpose. And they didn’t disappoint.

“The NAF jets’ strikes eliminated no fewer than 30 bandits. However, the casualty on the part of the intelligence officers was low,” the operative said.
