Paikoro LG honours Comptroller of Immigration, CIS Shehu Ya’u, for outstanding achievements
The Paikoro Local Government Council of Niger State has organised a grand reception to honour one of its sons, Comptroller of Immigration Service, Niger State Command, CIS Musa Shehu Ya’u, pcc, for successful career attainment.
This was disclosed in a statement issued by ASI M. Abubakar, CPRO, for Comptroller of Immigration Service, Niger State Command.
The reception in honour of CIS Shehu Ya’u was organised by the Council Chairman, Honourale Aminu Umar Yanday to welcome the Comptroller to his home state and recognise him as an asset to the local government area.
Highlights of the event are the presentation of a motorcycle to NIS and a gift to the distinguished guest.
In his speech, the Council Chairman said he was elated by the leadership style of the Comptroller and the successes he achieved in his career.

Responding to the honour, Comptroller MS Ya’u appreciated the Local Government Council for finding him worthy of the recognition.
He also thanked all great sons and daughters of Paikoro for their kind gestures and assured them of his commitment to keep fighting the menace of irregular migration in the state.
Prominent personalities at the event include Ambassador Zubairu Dada, (former Minister of State, Foreign Affairs), Alhaji Abdullahi Kpotu (former board secretary CDCFIB), CG Anadu (passport control officer), Ezekiel Shawolu (Commissioner of Police) and Elizabeth Shaba (Commissioner for small and medium enterprises).
Others are Alhaji Abass Bello (former Head of Service Niger State), Lt Col. A.A Jir (Rep 31 Artillery Brigade), Flying Officer Peter A. (013 quick response), Rtd HY Malgwe (Deputy Comptroller General Hrm), Kemi Alawu (Rep of DSS), Rabiu I. (Rep of Correctional Service), Aliyu Abdullahi (Rep NSCDC), Hajiya Halima (Rep FRSC) and traditional tittle holder from the LGA.
The event also witnessed a drama presentation by the NIS drama club on the ills of harbouring strangers without thorough investigation.
