Police nab suspected cult member with pistol, bullets concealed in his waist

A man who was found with a pistol and bullets concealed in his waist has told men of the Anambra State Police Command that he belonged to the Black Axe cult group.
The state police command announced the arrest of the suspect on its Facebook wall on Friday, saying the man, whose name was given as Chigozie Ejikeme, 25 years, was arrested by operatives of the Special Anti Cultism Squad of the command.
It was gathered that the squad was on patrol along Nise/Agulu Road when they saw the young man driving a black Lexus dangerously in an attempt to escape security check on the road.

However, the police squad was able to prevent him from escaping, and when he was searched, a locally-made pistol and a live ammunition were found concealed in his waist.
The command wrote, “The suspect, upon interrogation by the operatives, confessed to being a member of the Black Axe secret cult.
“The suspect’s vehicle, a black Lexus, was also recovered.
“He is expected to be charged to court at the conclusion of the investigation into his nefarious activities.
The state police command has been grappling with the activities of various criminals including kidnappers, cultists, armed robbers, among others.
Some of the arrested suspects have been charged to various courts and convicted.
