Residents rescue man from committing suicide on Lagos bridge
An unidentified man has been rescued while attempting to commit suicide on Lagos bridge.
According to passersby, the man was seen trying to jump off a bridge into a busy express road in Lagos.
The young man had scaled the barricade on the pedestrian bridge and tried to jump off it when he was rescued by passersby.
It took several struggles for him to be carried out of danger.
Though the reason behind his attempted suicide could not be ascertained, he has been handed over to security authorities for further action.

Nigeria is currently experiencing high rate of suicide among citizens which may not be unconnected to the recent economic hardship caused by the high cost of living and the recent hike in fuel price.
Neptund Prime recently reported how a 38-year-old man killed himself after finding out about his wife’s infidelity.
The deceased reportedly committed suicide by hanging himself after discovering that his wife has been sleeping with his friends and neighbours inorder to get money and feed their children due to his inability to bring food to the table.
