Salah seeks new Liverpool deal as Al-Nassr eye Kovacic

Mohamed Salah has expressed his desire to sign a new contract with Liverpool, with the club planning to open negotiations soon.

The 32-year-old Egyptian forward is eager to extend his tenure at Anfield, and Liverpool aims to finalise his new deal before the January transfer window opens.

In contrast, Liverpool faces potential competition as speculation grows that Salah, along with teammates Virgil van Dijk and Alisson, might be tempted by lucrative offers from Saudi Arabian clubs next summer.

Meanwhile, Al-Nassr is eyeing Manchester City’s Mateo Kovacic for their January transfer window, offering a substantial pay package reportedly exceeding £750,000 a week.

Other transfer news includes Brazilian midfielder Casemiro, who is expected to leave Manchester United only if informed of his lack of future at the club. Additionally, free-agent Adrien Rabiot is a target for Manchester United and Newcastle, despite interest from Galatasaray.

Colombian midfielder Steven Alzate is set for a move to Hull City, and Flamengo have reached out to Anthony Martial, who is currently a free agent.

Liverpool and Newcastle might need to activate Marc Guehi’s release clause if he signs a new contract with Crystal Palace, which could exceed his current £70m asking price.

Manchester United have also appointed Sam Erith as performance director until the season’s end, while Newcastle has settled a long-running tax dispute with HM Revenue and Customs.
