Senator Gaidam extends sympathies to Maiduguri flood victims

Minister of Police Affairs, Senator Ibrahim Gaidam, CON, has sympathised with the people of Borno State over the news of severe flooding in Maiduguri, the capital, following the breakdown of the Alau Dam.

In a statement issued by his Special Assistant Dr Liman Goje, Gaidam said, “On behalf of the Ministry of Police Affairs and in my personal capacity, I extend my heartfelt sympathies to the government and the resilient people of Maiduguri over the recent flooding that has consumed every corner of the city.

“This tragic event has brought untold suffering, displacing families, damaging homes, and affecting livelihoods across the region. My thoughts and prayers are with those who have lost so much in this calamity.

“The pain and hardship that Maiduguri is currently experiencing touches us all, and we stand in solidarity with you during these challenging times.

“We trust that with the support of the federal government, stakeholders, and all Nigerians, Maiduguri will overcome this adversity and emerge stronger. May the Almighty provide comfort and strength to all those affected,” Senator Gaidam said.
