Soldiers raid training school for yahoo boys, arrest 150 students

Military operatives at 3 Battalion Nigerian Army barracks in Effurun, Delta State, have handed over 150 young men suspected to be internet fraudsters to the police.

The suspects, who were arrested at the popular Army Estate, in Effurun, Uvwie alongside the alleged owner of the ‘training school’ and his accomplices, were being profiled at Ekpan Police station for prosecution.

The arrests followed intelligence reports after the discovery of HK “Hustle Kingdom” School, a cybercriminal training network school, where intending internet fraudsters were trained within the premises.

They were also accused of using the Army Estate, a highbrow residential Post Service Housing Estate for retired military officers and civilians, as a cover.

It was gathered that after months of gathering intelligence reports on the activities of the suspects, armed military operatives stormed the school and arrested over 150 suspects in the early hours and late Saturday.

Sources aware of the development told newsmen that about 90 suspects were arrested in the early hours of Saturday while another set of about 60 were arrested late Saturday following the raid of the estate.

Delta State Command’s Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, confirmed the arrest of the suspects.

“About 150 of them were arrested. The HK School was raided by soldiers in the early hours of Saturday.

“The second set was apprehended late Saturday night. The soldiers acted on intelligence reports.”
