3 arrested with human tongues in their possession
The Lagos State police command has apprehended three suspects for possessing human body parts.
According to reports, operatives of the Rapid Response Squad intercepted a vehicle with two of the suspects, Amohullahi, 30, and Abubakar Isah, 32, during a stop-and-search operation on Otedola Bridge on October 15, 2024.
It was reported that the operatives discovered human parts, specifically tongues, in the possession of the two suspects. Confirming the arrest, the command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, stated that the suspects were found with the human tongues inside a taxi.
He also noted that the two arrested suspects led the police to another individual, Gbolahan Temidayo, in Oyingbo Market, Lagos, whom they allege purchased the human parts.
“The investigation is ongoing at the command headquarters, and if found culpable, the suspects will be charged in court,” he added.
