DSS dismisses Tinubu’s Chief Security Officer
In a recent development, the Department of State Services (DSS) has removed Adegboyega Fasasi from his position as Chief Security Officer (CSO) to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
He has been succeeded by Rasheed Atanda Lawal, a Deputy Director.
While the specific reasons for Fasasi’s removal remain unclear, sources indicate that DSS Director-General Tosin Ajayi requested his release for a strategic training course.
Such “changes of guard” often occur following the appointment of a new DSS DG, with trusted personnel typically assigned to critical roles like the Presidency. The Presidency has yet to issue an official statement regarding the situation.
