Gov. Buni approves ₦209m tuition fee for 608 college students

Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, has approved the sum of ₦125 million for over 608 students in federal science and technical colleges, as well as ₦84 million for students in state-owned technical colleges to cover their tuition fees ahead of their final exams.
The Executive Secretary, Yobe State Science and Technical Schools Board, Dr Mohammed Dauda Attiyaye, made this known on Tuesday, while briefing journalists in Damaturu.
He stated that Governor Buni has taken full responsibility for the tuition, other registration fees, and the costs for WAEC, NECO, and NABTEB examinations for the benefiting students studying at various Science and Technical Colleges.
He revealed that some of the benefiting students are from Federal Science and Technical College, Hadejia, Jigawa State,
Federal Science and Technical College, Kafanchan, Kaduna State, Federal Science and Technical College, Ganduje, Kano State, and Federal Science and Technical College, Dayi, Katsina State.

Others are from Federal Science and Technical College, Doma, Nasarawa State, Federal Science and Technical College, Zuru, Kebbi State and Federal Science and Technical College, Jalingo, Taraba State, among other science and technical colleges across the country.
He noted that this laudable gesture has not only lightened the financial burden on
parents but also paved the way for a brighter future for the youths by ensuring easy access to quality education.
“As beneficiaries of these impactful gestures, I call upon our students and
their parents to show their appreciation by praying for His Excellency, Governor Buni.
“May his efforts continue to succeed, even amid economic challenges, as he remains dedicated to uplifting education in Yobe State and Nigeria as a whole,” he said.
