Kidnappers kill Kaduna lecturer despite collecting ransom twice
The Kaduna community is mourning the tragic kidnapping and murder of Dr. Levy Makama Pondu, a dedicated lecturer in the Department of Business Administration at Kaduna Polytechnic.
Dr. Pondu was abducted on August 16, 2024, while returning from his farm, where he had gone to pay his staff.

Reports indicate that despite paying ransom demands twice, the kidnappers ultimately took Dr. Pondu’s life.
Family, students, and colleagues have taken to social media to express their grief and honor his memory, describing him as a dedicated philanthropist and an intelligent, helpful figure who was a fatherly presence to many.
