Man evades arrest after stabbing cousin brother to death
A man has been declared wanted for allegedly stabbing his cousin brother with a bottle in Lagos State.
The suspect, identified as Ganiyu Ibrahim, is said to have stabbed his cousin, Afeez Akeem with a bottle on October 14.
Confirming the incident, the police PRO of Lagos, Benjamin Hundeyin, said the case was reported to the police by a woman who said her son, Ganiyu, and her nephew, Afeez were having a misunderstanding that resulted in a physical confrontation.
“As a result, Ganiyu broke a bottle and stabbed Afeez on the left side of his chest.

“The victim was rushed to a hospital, where he was confirmed dead by the doctor on duty.
“A team of detectives was immediately mobilised to the scene, and photographs were taken,” Hundeyin added.
He said that the family of the deceased declined an autopsy, saying they want to bury Akeem according to Islamic rites.
“The suspect is at large. Investigation is ongoing, and efforts are being made to apprehend the fleeing suspect,” the PPRO said.
