Mob sets man ablaze for killing own son, nursing mother
A man identified as Mr. Samson, in Evwreni Community of Delta State has been burnt into ashes after he smashed his son to death, killed a nursing mother and injured others in inexplicable circumstances.
The suspect was apprehended by an agitated mob, who beat him to death and set his corpse on fire in an act of jungle justice.
Samson, whose other name could not be ascertained at press time, committed the crime on Monday.
A source said that the culprit committed the crime around 2:00 am, when he smashed his son to death and equally killed a nursing mother identified as Princess and injured a yet-to-be-identified male.
A source who pleaded anonymity revealed that the man had been behaving strangely and that he was to be taken to a medical centre for medications before the unfortunate incident occurred.

According to him, “He smashed his toddler to death, then machete a woman who took her son out to the toilet, and injured some youths who tried to apprehend him.
“After the incident, he was finally apprehended, beaten to a stupor and his remains were set ablaze with his motorcycle.”
Though the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, Edafe Bright could not respond to his call at press time, a senior security source, who confirmed the incident, said: “Before our men could get to the scene, the suspect has been set ablaze.”
