Orji Kalu: Tinubu drives around Abuja at night, aware of Nigerians’ suffering
Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has revealed that President Bola Tinubu is well aware of the economic challenges Nigerians are facing. Speaking during an interview on Politics Today, aired on Channels TV, Kalu shared insights into how the president is taking steps to address the situation.
Kalu claimed that Tinubu personally drives around Abuja at night to observe the realities on the ground. “The president himself knows that Nigerians are suffering and hungry.
He is a street person; he knows the street very well. The president, some nights, uses his car to go around and know what is happening in Abuja here,” Kalu said.
He also emphasized that the economic hardship is not unique to Nigeria, as the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic are still being felt globally.

However, Kalu pointed out that nations with stronger economic foundations are experiencing less strain compared to Nigeria. “The impact of COVID-19 is still affecting economies globally. The only reason some countries are no longer feeling the COVID-19 impact the way Nigeria is feeling it is because they have built a robust economy for a very long period,” Kalu explained.
Kalu assured that President Tinubu is working towards alleviating the economic struggles faced by Nigerians.
