Police commissioner in Katsina presents ₦27m cheque to families of fallen officers

The Katsina State Police Commissioner, CP Aliyu Abubakar Musa, presented a cheque totaling ₦27.5 million to the families of police officers who died in the line of duty. This support, benefiting 36 families, was provided under the Group Life Insurance, Group Personal Accident, and Inspector General of Police Family Welfare Insurance Schemes.

During the cheque presentation ceremony, the Katsina State Police Command’s spokesman, ASP Abubakar Sadiq, noted that this financial intervention aims to assist the families of fallen officers who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving the nation.

CP Aliyu Abubakar Musa extended his appreciation to the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, for his commitment to the welfare of the deceased officers’ families. He encouraged the beneficiaries to use the funds responsibly, highlighting that the objective of the scheme is to provide much-needed support for the families left behind.

One of the beneficiaries, Najib Ibrahim, speaking on behalf of the families, expressed gratitude to the Inspector General for the assistance. He pledged to use the funds wisely for their family’s betterment and offered prayers for the continued guidance and success of the police leadership.

CP Aliyu also offered prayers for the repose of the souls of the deceased officers, emphasizing the department’s commitment to supporting the families of its fallen members.
