Police nab woman for repeatedly torturing step-children

The operatives of the Adamawa State Police Command have apprehended a woman for allegedly torturing her underaged step-children.

Neptune Prime gathered that the woman, Fatima Abubakar, 37, physically assaulted her step-children for messing up their rooms.

According to reports, the woman was taken into custody by the police for the alleged torture of a 2-year-old girl and a little boy.

“It was gathered that Fatima reportedly tortured the children for urinating and defecating in their rooms.

Fatima, who was said to have been married to the children’s father and had not delivered a child of her own was arrested for the assault, and had confessed to the crime on Saturday, October 5.

Neighbours, who served as eyewitness, said Fatima had warned them not to interfere in her affairs.

Confirming the arrest, the police PRO, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, while speaking with newsmen, said the suspect was arrested following a tip-off from concerned community members.

He added that the Commissioner of Police, Morris Dankombo, had ordered that the accused be charged to court for prosecution.
