Russia captures another village in Eastern Ukraine
Russia announced on Saturday that its forces have captured the village of Zoryane in eastern Ukraine, bringing them closer to the industrial city of Kurakhove. The Russian defense ministry confirmed the victory, stating, “The locality of Zoryane… has been liberated.”
Kurakhove, a pre-war home to about 20,000 people and located west of the already Russian-controlled Donetsk city, is now just a few kilometers away from Moscow’s advancing troops. The area is of strategic importance, lying south of Pokrovsk, a significant logistics hub.
Simultaneously, Russian forces have intensified their attacks in the southern Zaporizhzhia region of Ukraine as the war continues to escalate.
This development is part of Russia’s ongoing offensive efforts, which have now focused on gaining control of more territories in eastern Ukraine.
