Senator Jonathan Zwingina passes away at 70
Former Senate Majority Leader Jonathan Zwingina has reportedly passed away. He also served as the Director-General of the MKO Abiola Campaign Organization during the June 12, 1993 presidential election.
While his family has not yet formally confirmed the news, stating that the Adamawa State-born politician died on Wednesday, October 2, in Abuja at the age of 70.
He was reported to have passed away following a prolonged illness. The former lawmaker represented the Adamawa South Senatorial District in the Senate and was a founding member of the Peoples Democratic Party before later defecting to the All Progressives Congress.
