Why we fired missiles at Israel – Iran
Iran has reportedly launched a series of missile strikes on Israel in retaliation for the killings of high-ranking officials from Hezbollah, Hamas, and Iran.
This has prompted widespread alarm in Israel, with citizens rushing to bomb shelters as explosions were heard in both Jerusalem and Tel Aviv during the late-night assault.
The situation has heightened fears of a potential escalation into full-scale war in the region.
Israeli military spokesperson Daniel Hagari stated that there were no reports of casualties and that the army does not perceive any further threats in the airspace. In a video message, he reassured the public that it was safe to leave their shelters.

However, Israel’s emergency services reported that at least two individuals sustained minor injuries from shrapnel in the Tel Aviv area.
The Palestinian news agency Wafa reported that a 38-year-old Palestinian man died from shrapnel wounds in Jericho, located in the eastern occupied West Bank. Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) stated that the missile strike on Israel was a retaliation for the recent killings of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, IRGC commander Abbas Nilforoushan, and Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh.
The IRGC claimed responsibility for targeting “three military bases” in the Tel Aviv area and indicated that 80 percent of the missiles hit their intended targets. Israel’s military countered that a significant number of missiles were intercepted, and spokesperson Hagari warned of serious consequences from the attack.

A senior Iranian official mentioned that the missile launch order came from Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who is currently in a secure location.
Meanwhile, the U.S. stated its forces are prepared to offer additional defensive support to Israel following the missile attack.
