Zazzau prince dies in auto crash
A prince of Zazzau and son of the former Emir, Alhaji Umar Shehu Idris, also known as the Dan Isan Zazzau, tragically lost his life in a car accident on the Kaduna-Abuja expressway on Tuesday afternoon.
Until his passing, Umar Shehu Idris served as the Assistant Secretary to the Zazzau Emirate Council. He died at the age of 41, leaving behind two wives and two children.
Malam Abdullahi Aliyu Kwarbai, the Media and Publicity Officer for the emirate, confirmed the news, stating that his remains would be buried at an appropriate time.
His death comes just 39 days after the loss of his mother, the wife of the late Emir Dr. Shehu Idris, and mother-in-law to the current Emir, Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli.
