Atlanta United’s last-minute goal stuns Messi’s Miami in MLS playoffs

Atlanta United delivered a stunning blow to Inter Miami’s playoff ambitions, securing a last-minute 2-1 victory on Saturday to force a decisive game three in their MLS Cup series. A packed Mercedes-Benz Stadium roared as Portuguese substitute Xande Silva netted the dramatic stoppage-time winner, equalizing the series 1-1.

David Martinez had given Miami a 1-0 lead in the 40th minute, capitalising on a mistake by Atlanta’s goalkeeper Brad Guzan. But Atlanta fought back with Derrick Williams’ 58th-minute header, keeping fans on edge with an intense, back-and-forth second half.
