Buhari donates ₦10m to support Jigawa victims of fire disaster

Former President, Mohammadu Buhari has donated the sum of N10 million to the victims of oil tanker explosion in Majiya town in Taura local government area of Jigawa state.

The former president who arrived Dutse, the Jigawa state capital around 5pm, kept his remarks brief, offering heartfelt prayers for the victims.

He immediately proceeded to the Rasheed Shokoni Federal University Dutse Teaching Hospital to meet with victims currently receiving medical treatment there.

Having journeyed from Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State, Buhari expressed gratitude to the citizens of Jigawa for their patience in awaiting his arrival throughout the day.

Accompanying him were several former cabinet ministers, including Professor Ibrahim Ali Pantami, the former Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, Hadi Sirika, former Minister of Aviation, Boss Mustapha, former Secretary to the Federal Government, and Engineer Suleiman Adamu, former Minister of Water Resources, among others.

In response to the donation, Engineer Aminu Usman Gumel, the acting governor of Jigawa State, expressed his appreciation to Buhari and his entourage for their generous support towards the victims and the families mourning their loved ones.
