Gov. Fintiri launches ₦3bn business initiative for women, youths
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has launched the Fintiri Business Wallet initiative, a transformative programme designed to empower 60,000 women and youths by injecting ₦3 billion into the local economy.
The initiative aims to provide financial support for residents to establish sustainable businesses, thereby promoting economic growth and resilience throughout the state.

Governor Fintiri announced this during a meeting with stakeholders from Hong Local Government Area at the Government House in Yola.
The support programme is set to roll out progressively, starting immediately and continuing through December 2024.
In response to inquiries about civil servants’ salaries, Governor Fintiri addressed the implementation of the PAYE (Pay As You Earn) tax, emphasising that standard deductions have resumed following a two-month suspension as part of the initial phase of the new minimum wage rollout.
Additionally, during the meeting, a request was submitted for the establishment of the Hoba chiefdom. Governor Fintiri assured stakeholders that he would carefully review the proposal and assess its feasibility.
