3 dead, 25 rescued in troops’ raid on kidnappers’ den

Nigerian troops involved in Operation Safe Haven (OPSH) have successfully rescued 25 individuals from kidnappers.

According to newsmen, the operation, codenamed Golden Peace, was launched on Tuesday, December 3, with the goal of combating terrorism in Kaduna State’s Kauru Local Government Area.

During the operation, the troops dismantled key bandit hideouts across the region, including those in Ruwan Sanye, Randa, Rafin Gora, Libere Gari, and Libere Makaranta.

Reports indicate that the troops encountered a violent clash with bandits in Randa Village, where a fierce gunfight ensued.

Three bandits were neutralized in the exchange, and others were compelled to abandon their captives and flee the area.

The troops also seized several items, including roasted chicken, cigarettes, tramadol, energy drinks, clothing, and discovered an illegal clinic used by the bandits.
