Musiala’s magic sends Bayern 6 points clear in Bundesliga
In a thrilling encounter at the Allianz Arena on Saturday, Jamal Musiala emerged as Bayern Munich’s saviour, scoring twice to secure a 4-2 victory over Heidenheim, pushing the Bundesliga champions six points clear at the top.
Bayern, still reeling from their German Cup exit midweek, showed resilience despite missing key striker Harry Kane due to injury. Dayot Upamecano opened the scoring in the 18th minute with a powerful header, but his defensive error gifted Heidenheim an equaliser early in the second half through Mathias Honsak.
Manager Vincent Kompany turned to Musiala, and the 21-year-old delivered. Within five minutes of coming on, he restored Bayern’s lead with a stunning strike. Leon Goretzka added another late goal, but Heidenheim kept the game alive when Niklas Dorsch struck again.
Musiala sealed the win in style, dribbling from midfield and firing home his second of the match. Teammate Thomas Müller praised the youngster’s performance, saying, “What he’s doing, we expect that from him now. We’re happy we’ve got him.”

Leipzig snapped their winless streak with a 2-0 victory over Holstein Kiel, and Werder Bremen defeated Bochum 1-0, leaving their opponents with just two points from 13 games.
With Borussia Dortmund yet to play against Borussia Moenchengladbach, the Bundesliga race remains intense, but Bayern’s commanding lead suggests they’re firmly in control.
