New Ministries and Agencies: Governor Buni’s strategic vision for advancing Yobe’s civil service workforce, by Usman Yusuf Dole

The administration of Gov. Buni has adopted a new strategic approach, renowned for its massive youth inclusivity in governance. Notable examples include Hon. Buba Kyari, the youngest Commissioner of Housing; Dr. Adam K. Mohammed, the youngest Director General of the Yobe Information Technology Development Agency; and Comr. Abdulmumin Liman, the youngest Focal Person on Bilateral Education Agreement. From its inception, Gov. Buni’s administration has demonstrated a commitment to institutional growth by establishing three new ministries, including the newly approved Ministry of Livestock Development, as well as thirteen agencies. This moves underscore a deliverate efforts and strategy to address the State’s need for sustainable development.

The newly established Ministry of Livestock Development in Yobe State has the potential to significantly boost the state’s socioeconomic status by harnessing the untapped potential of the livestock sector.
