₦5m reward for return of Wizkid’s missing phone
A ₦5 million reward has been offered for the return of Nigerian singer Wizkid’s missing phone.
The phone reportedly went missing on Saturday during Wizkid’s surprise performance at the Nativeland concert, which took place at Sol Beach, Elegushi, Lagos. A viral video from the event shows DJ Tunez announcing from the stage that Wizkid’s phone had fallen during the performance.
DJ Tunez promised a reward of ₦5 million for anyone who finds and returns the phone. “When my brother Wizkid was performing, he dropped his cell phone. Anybody that finds Wizkid’s cell phone, ₦5 million,” he said. “It is my boss’s cell phone; if anybody finds it, bring it to me. ₦5 million.”
He later posted on his X page, reiterating the reward offer: “I’m gooooooooooood! Please if you find Machala’s phone, hit me up! Thank you!”
The Nativeland concert itself faced controversy when the stage collapsed during Odumodublvck’s performance. A viral video captured the moment the stage equipment fell, causing panic as concertgoers scrambled for safety.
