Minister of Defense, Christopher Musa, has summoned all service chiefs to an urgent meeting following recent attacks on military formations in Nigeria’s North-East.

The high-level meeting, currently taking place at the Ministry of Defense headquarters in Abuja, is aimed at reviewing security strategies in response to the escalating assaults on troops.

Among those attending are the Chief of Defense Staff, Olufemi Oluyede, and the Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Waidi Shaibu.

Others present include the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, the Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Idi Abass, as well as representatives of the National Intelligence Agency and other senior security officials.

Reports indicate that at least three commanding officers with the rank of lieutenant-colonel were recently killed during terrorist attacks in Borno State. In addition to the officers, several soldiers also lost their lives
