37-year-old Taraba member-elect, Maihanci, dies in Abuja

37-year-old Taraba member-elect, Maihanci, dies in Abuja

A House of Representatives member-elect for Jalingo/Yorro/Zing Federal constituency, Taraba State, Ismaila Yushau Maihanci, is dead.

Maihanci died early Saturday morning and his janaza (funeral prayer) was held the same day at the National Mosque in Abuja.

Maihanci was born on October 22, 1986. He is a politician and businessman who was elected in the just-held general elections under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Before he was elected, the deceased served as a Special Adviser to Taraba State Governor Darius Ishaku. He had also served as the Secretary of PDP in Taraba State.
