The successful dislodgement of the bandits was a follow-up on the reports received by the army that the group responsible for the Abuja-Kaduna train bombing have relocated to a forests in Kafanchan, Katsina, Kano and Zamfara States.

The N100 million allegedly paid by the Managing Director of Bank of Agriculture (BOA) was through Boko Haram members in Katsina forest before they were directed to take the money to their forest base near Kafanchan.

The current spate of attacks by the terrorists promoted the Kaduna State Governor, Malam Nasir El Rufai urging his counterparts whose states are going through the same security challenge to think of hiring foreign mercenaries to fight the terrorists and kidnappers in the states.

Since the continued attacks in Kakura village and other villages in Southern Kaduna, Birnin Gwari, Chikun LGAs with the army following up residents have been fleeing the area for their safety and fear of reprisal.
