2023: Vote only the person with evidence of love for Nigerian masses – Rev. Ukpai
Story from Adah ABAH, Abuja
As Nigerians count down to the 2023 general elections, Nigerian-born international Christian leader and evangelist, Rev. Uma Ukpai, has admonished all citizens to go out and vote only for contestants who already have evidence of love for the masses.
The evangelist gave the advice on Saturday while fielding questions from newsmen at a press briefing organised by the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly, aka COZA, on its Easter power packed programme which started Friday 15 to climax and end Sunday, April 17, 2022 in Abuja.
Rev. Ukpai, who is the Chief Guest Minister at the COZA ministration, canvassed a situation where Nigerians would query the antecedents of politicians by asking them to say what they had done for their people.
“Let them state what they have done, with evidence. And any one already in the position of leadership who has failed in this regard should resign,” he said.
He assured that those who would make time to be at the COZA “meeting with God” would encounter Jesus and experience the miracle of their life time.
Explaining earlier why Rev. Ukpai was in Abuja, the lead pastor of COZA, Biodun Fatoyingbo, said it is for the celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
“And this weekend we are celebrating the resurrection so the power that raised Jesus from the dead will raise people out of problems,” he said.
