Cristiano Ronaldo’s 62nd minutes equalising goal saved Manchester United from another defeat as they played 1-1 with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge Thursday night.

Both teams returned from the dressing room with more enthusiasm after failing to find the back of the net in the first.

Chelsea’s pressure on United paid off after Marcos Alonso’s volley from an angle flies past keeper David De Gea after Kai Havertz flicks on Reece James’ cross in the 60th to take the lead.

Ralf Rangnick’s boys remain undeterred after two consecutive defeats as their danger man – Ronaldo equalised after 119 seconds to reduce the tally to 1-1.

Chelsea are still 3rd in the Premier League table with 66 points while United are sixth with 55 points.
