Obiageli disclosed this during a recent interview revealed how her sister, her sister’s fiancé and the relatives of her sister’s fiancé were killed by unknown gunmen on their way to the village for her traditional marriage.
According to Obiageli, when her sister’s wedding invitation came out, they were not given a pass at their superior. She explained that by the time they finally agreed to give them a pass, the couple decided to do the traditional marriage on May 2, 2022 and white marriage on May 7, 2022 and that was why they embarked on the journey. She mentioned that Mr Lance (Gloria’s fiancé), his uncle and his younger brother were all killed by the gunmen who were four in number that blocked the road with a palm frond.
“When they stopped their vehicle, they ordered all of them to come down from the car. Gloria came down and told them she is an army officer with the hope that they would allow them pass but on hearing this, they slapped her, tied her mouth and hand and also blindfolded her. They asked her and her husband-to-be to enter a hilux and took them elsewhere. She said the leader of the gang was not around when the incident happened and that it was when the day was getting dark that he came.”
“When he came, members of the criminal gang told him that they caught two Army Officers. On hearing this, he ordered them to kill them and also behead them”.
Gloria’s sister also reacted to news making the rounds that the incident never happened and according to her, she said Nigerians don’t really know the pain she and her family are passing through since the sad incident happened.
