It is alleged that majority of the residents who came for the registration are traders and shop owners at the popular Alaba International Market.
According to some Twitter feeds monitored by Neptune Prime, the traders took the day off to register for their Permanent Voters Card (PVC) but the registration exercise at some of the centres were disrupted by thugs in the area thereby forcing officials to suspend the registration process.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on it website stated that the CVR exercise ends June 30, 2022.
