Kuje Prison Attack: Abba Kyari, Nyame, Maina safe
The embattled Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abba Kyari, and other top inmates are safe after terrorists attacked the Kuje Correctional Facility on Tuesday night.
At least 150 inmates are believed to have escaped during the attack, including terrorists and other hardened criminals.
But Kyari, who was recently remanded in prison, did not escape, a prison official told Neptune Prime.

It was gathered that while many inmates took advantage of the chaos as the military and other security agents guarding the facility ran for their lives, the high calibre prisoners and inmates whose sentences remained a few months or weeks to be served refused to escape.
Military helicopters were seen hovering around the prison since morning as security has been beefed up in the area.
